ADVOKIT-NDIS

Disability Advocacy Network Australia (DANA) Ltd supports and strengthens independent disability advocacy agencies in their work of advocating for and with people with disabilities so that they are valued and included members of the community, their fundamental needs are met and their human rights are respected.

DANA approached Wasabi with an opportunity to build a new support site for disability Advocates working with the new National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The site needed to humanise and make accessible the sometimes confusing rules and legislation supporting the NDIS. The project was behind the 8-ball as the official NDIS rules weren’t going to be released until around the launch date.

In record time, Wasabi designed and built a bold, supportive website framework for the site, extending the WordPress content management platform with custom functionality to support the features specific to the needs of the site. We worked closely with DANA to ensure that structure, functionality and content all came together beautifully.

The result is a simple, easy to use site, complying with WCAG 2.0 level AA, and including numerous accessibility features designed to enhance user experience.
