Fitzroy Legal - NDIS Rights

Fitzroy Legal Service, along with Hobart Community Legal Service and Redfern Legal Centre, three awesome legal centres focused on helping the broader community, received a grant through the Commonwealth Attorney-General Department’s Human Rights Framework – Education Grants. This grant was for creation of a website showcasing a series of fact sheets developed to address community need for rights-based legal information when accessing the NDIS and the various agencies involved with the NDIS.

After building the Advokit for DANA, Fitzroy Legal heard about Wasabi’s work and approached us to give them a hand with their passion project. We were delighted to help out!

Working closely with Ela @ Fitzroy Legal, who did an amazing job at coordinating all the stakeholders and maintaining conceptual integrity across the project, we crafted a beautiful, bespoke site which is eminently supportable via an easy-to-use enhanced WordPress admin console. We built to WCAG 2.0 level AA compliance, and styled up the fact sheets into gorgeous downloadable PDFs.

"Fitzroy Legal Service and its project partners commissioned Wasabi Creative to design and develop a new website showcasing a range of fact sheets in accessible layout and formats. Wasabi Creative was recommended to us by another community agency that were very happy with the service and product they'd received.

We too couldn' be happier to have engaged Wasabi Creative for this job. Not only did Tim and Adam create a brilliant site with accessibility and great design, they were always professional, incredibly friendly and so very understanding through many delays and when the direction of the project altered. Being in two separate states didn't at all impact the working relationship, and Tim maintained contact with us constantly. Further, the website has now been developed so that we can make further edits ourselves - which is great for our budgetary needs.

We couldn’t recommend Wasabi Creative highly enough."
